Music Concert

Participants are warmly invited to a Music Concert, organised as part of the symposium’s cultural programme, at St. Anne's Collegiate Church (ul. Sw. Anny 11, 31-008, Krakow).

Tomasz Potaczek

 

Filip Presseisen (organ)

Filip Presseisen graduated with honors from the organ class of Prof. Dr. h. c. Christoph Bossert at the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg and from the organ class at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
He studied in the class of Prof. F. Danksagmüller at the
Hochschule für Musik in Lübeck. Winner of competitions: 1st place and special prize at the 6th Feliks Nowowiejski International Organ Competition in Poznań (2017), Antalffy Preis special prize for the best interpretation of works on historical organs at the ION International Organ
Competition in Nuremberg (2016), 1st place at the Internationaler Kinoorgel Wettbewerb in Berlin (2015), 2nd place and audience prize at the International Improvisation Co mpetition in Schwäbisch Gmünd (2019). He performs abroad (Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, USA). Presseisen has also recorded for Polish Radio and Television and MDR German Radio.
In 2020 he received a PhD in music i n the discipline of instrumental music, and in 2024 a postdoctoral degree. He is an associate professor at the Institute of Church Music in Cracow, and an expert of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in the field of heritage organ welfare. As a chamber musician, he regularly cooperates with Capella Cracoviensis.

 

Tomasz Potaczek

 

Tomasz Potaczek (traverso flute)

Tomasz graduated with distinction from the Academy of Music in Kraków. A co-founder of the early music ensemble Estravaganza, he cooperates with the Kraków Philharmonic and Capella Cracoviensis. In addition to his musical career, Tomasz completed studies in psychology at the Jagiellonian University and has worked as a psychotherapist since 2004, performing internationally as a soloist and chamber musician.

Anna Śliwa

Anna Śliwa (violin, viola d'amore)

Anna specializes in solo and chamber music repertoire of old music and leads the historical instruments ensemble Intrada. She collaborated with the Warsaw Chamber Opera and the Austrian ensemble Pandolfis Consort Wien. A veteran of prestigious festivals such as Wratislavia Cantans, she currently teaches baroque violin performance at the Karłowicz and Rutkowski Music High Schools in Kraków.

 

Elżbieta Górka

Elżbieta Górka (violin)

Elżbieta Górka is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Kraków in the violin class of Prof. R. Reiner. She plays the baroque violin and viola. With the Quartetto Pollaco ensemble, she recorded the first album in Poland with compositions by Astor Piazzolla. Since 1989, she has been a member of the Capella Cracoviensis chamber orchestra. She has performed as a solo and chamber musician in Poland and abroad and was nominated for the "Fryderyk" award with the Jagiellonian Quartet.

Konrad Górka

Konrad Górka (cello)

Konrad Górka – cellist, graduate of the Academy of Music in Kraków and Musikhochschule in Würzburg. He performed the first Polish performance of Bach's Suite 6 in D-major on the original baroque piccolo violoncello. Since 1986, he has been a permanent member of the Capella Cracoviensis chamber orchestra. He is the winner of the Fryderyk 2006 award in the Chamber Music category for an album recorded with Kevin Kenner.
